SPC XL Histogram

SPC XL Box Shot

A histogram is a graph which is used to determine the distribution of a set of data. The data is grouped into classes of fixed width. For each data point that falls into the class, you increment the count of that class.

For example, the following data set was used ...

... to create this histogram.

The first class, represented by the far-left bar in the histogram, is from 77 to 81.2. Since there are two data points between 77 and 81.2, the bar is two units high.
