 Trial period expired
Solution

You can receive error message "Trial period expired" even if this is the first time you installed Trial application (SPC XL, DOE PRO,…) on your system.

Solution:
Please make sure that you have installed and run SPC XL Trial on account with admin privileges.
It is important that you run SPC XL Trial on admin account at least once in order to initiate trial period.
Once you have run it on admin account, you can continue evaluating SPC XL on standard user account.

Windows Vista users:
SPC XL fails to initiate trial period on Vista with User Access Control option enabled. Workaround is to start Excel in elevated mode once, so it can initiate trial period.

1. Close Excel
2. To run Excel in Elevated Mode on Vista:
 - Click the Start Button
 - Type "Excel"
 - Press SHIFT + CTRL + Enter
3. When Excel loads, go to Office Button > Open.
4. Navigate to add-in installation folder. For SPC XL 2007 default folder is C:\Program Files\Sigma Zone\SPC XL 2007
5. Select add in (for SPC XL add-in name is SPC2000.xla) and click Open

This will initiate evaluation period. Close Excel, and now you can start SPC XL normaly.
